Making A Purchase
If you have been set up with a Username and Password, making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you do not have a Username and Password you can still purchase Stringing Machines, Spares and some tools, however you won't be able to see prices or add to cart for anything else as we supply the sports trade.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from overseas, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling Whilst we try to hold prices for 12 months, we reserve the right to alter prices when necessary during the year. Prices therefore are those ruling at the date of despatch.

Orders paid by debit/credit card and placed online which are over £10 nett receive 5% discount and free shipping to UK mainland.
Although there is no minimum order, there is a postage charge of £1.00 + VAT and no discounts on orders below £10.00 for UK mainland customers.

We reserve the right to charge postage/carriage at cost outside the UK mainland. Postage is charged on racket restrings.

When ordering replacement grommet strips, please ensure the following details are available: racket make and model (plus headsize on tennis rackets), and the number of grommets on the top bumber strip, sides and throat.

Delivery Schedule Let us know in the special delivery instructions if you have a deadline you are trying to make, as we will always do our best to deliver on time.
UK orders received before 3pm for goods in stock where the order is complete are despatched the same day by either 1st class Royal Mail or 24hr Parcelforce Worldwide.
European orders are despatched on a 48-hour service and other international orders are generally received within 5-7 working days.
Back Orders We usually wait until orders are complete before despatch, except where the waiting time for a particular item is likely to be long. You will always be e-mailed where there is a waiting time of more than 10 working days with the option to back order the outstanding item and part despatch.
Tax Charges All our products are subject to VAT for orders made from the UK or European Union. The standard rate of 20% VAT is applied. All customers in the European Union have to pay UK VAT unless VAT registered, but all goods sent directly overseas to non-EU destinations are zero-rated.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, you will be taken to Actinic Payments website to enter your credit/debit card details. Actinic Payments is our ecommerce payment service provider, their website is fully secure and ensures we comply with the latest credit/debit card fraud prevention regulations. Your card data is not sent back to us and is not written in clear text on any website.

Returns Policy Errors or shortages must be notified within 3 working days of receipt of the goods. Non-delivery must be notified within 5 days, otherwise the customer will be deemed to have received the goods.

Goods correctly sent but not wanted can be returned at the customer's expense.
There is no credit or refund on grommet strips ordered incorrectly.
Non-stock items can be specially ordered, but the onus is on the customer once the order is confirmed as special orders cannot be cancelled or returned.

If you wish to return goods correctly despatched for any reason, you must contact us within 3 days of receiving the goods. These goods can only be returned if they are complete with all relevant packaging in an unused and resaleable condition. We would remind you that once you have notified us of your desire to return goods there is a legal requirement for you to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your cost to W&D Strings, Conghurst Lane, Four Throws, Hawkhurst, Kent TN18 5ED with a copy of the invoice where possible.

Please ensure the goods are sufficiently protected and packaged for their return journey. Once we have received the returned goods and they are checked, we shall refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods less delivery cost from the order.
Remittance Terms If you have an approved Account with us our settlement terms are 30 days. Payment within 7 days for orders over £10 however will ensure you receive 5% discount.
Online orders are stictly payment by credit/debit card unless your User account has been authorised to be Invoice with Order.
