Our battery-operated traps all operate with a 12V power supply making them very portable.
All our traps catch moths alive so that they are ideal for survey work, population counts and collecting fertile females for breeding programmes.

E7484 Moonlander moth trap with new Goodden GemLight
New - redesigned Moonlander moth trap for field use in remote areas.
Moths enter from below preventing escape through the top. The trap has netting sides supported via three leg struts but easily dismantles to transport flat. Supplied with fitted carry bag - convenient for assembly and packing away.
The trap and new GemLight are lightweight so it can be suspended - useful on difficult terrain and in bad weather.
The new GemLight has UV and green emitters, very effective in remote places and will last all night on 8 AA rechargeable batteries (not included). No bulbs to break so never need replacing.

12V Portable 6W Heath Moth Traps

Small compact 6W moth traps which run from a 12volt DC supply - either through a 12 volt battery with a minimum rating of 12ah or can run from the mains supply with a mains unit (available separately, see below for details).
The traps are highly suitable for beginners where cost is a major factor, and their portability makes them ideal for collecting in remote areas where no electricity or generators are available.
The Heath trap is lightweight and dismantles flat for easy transport.

The traps are highly suitable for beginners where cost is a major factor, and their portability makes them ideal for collecting in remote areas where no electricity or generators are available. The contents of the Rigid trap fit inside the bucket for easy storage and the bucket has a carry handle.
