This is a facsimile reprint of the well-known 'A Field Guide to the Smaller British Lepidoptera' that has been out of print for some time. The original by L.T. Ford was first published in 1949 and included life histories, behaviours and hints on finding the different species. A.M. Emmet in 1979 revised and extended the original text, and a second edition was published in 1988 where Emmet added about 40 species. This book is a reprint of the second edition, softcover 288 pages.
